Females are always regarded as a vulnerable group in the patriarchal society, which is to some extent a type of protection but more like bondage. Similarly, when people bound wounds with gauze as a way of treatment, their mobility was limited as well.
This book focuses on feminism and discusses the relationship between gauze and the human body based on multiple material experiments.
