L’amant (English: The Lover) wrote by Marguerite Duras and talks about a clandestine romantic story between a pubescent girl from a financially strapped French family and an older, wealthy Chinese-Vietnamese man. The book frequently flipped between a first-person view and a third-person view, which is unusual for an autobiographic novel. Using that set as a starting point, I extracted the descriptions of the author from two different views and attempts to discuss feminine emotion vie bookbinding design.
The emotion described by the first person view is clandestine and expected to no one knows, so most of this part of the content was hidden in the book. The third view texts are from others' perception, which is sporadic and incomplete, but visible to the public.
